5,621 populations of Kizanda and Mayo villages, Mayo County, Bumbuli Council, Lushoto District in Tanga Region expect to benefit from the Mayo water project. Engineer Sizinga has said that the construction of water infrastructure in the project is among the completed works and that they have been managed by the Office of the Manager of RUWASA Lushoto District through the funds of the National Welfare Development Program and the Fight Against UVIKO 19. He said that the project was set in stone of the foundation and Leader of the National Freedom Torch Run 2022, and was implemented by the Contractor Mbesso Construction Co. Ltd of Dar es Salaam for a contract that started its implementation on February 2022 and ended on September 30, 2022.

"The implementation of the project has been completed 100 percent according to the contract, and it depends on benefiting 5,621 residents living in the villages of Kizanda and Mayo and it has cost more than 430 million shillings (430,909,580) which are the costs of the contractor in the construction of the infrastructure, and he has been paid all the money," said I will not live. Sizinga said that the works carried out on the project are a new water source, the cutting of main pipe lines, a water tank with a capacity of 90,000 liters, eight water extraction stations (vilulas), seven additional stations, digging of long pipe trenches of 15,000 meters, laying and joining pipes 15,500 meters, construction of the chamber with its equipment.

"RUWASA gives our sincere thanks to President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan for continuing to provide us with funds for development projects, we will manage them well so that they can bring productivity to the people and achieve the intended goals," he said.

The national leader of the Torch of Freedom, Abdallah Shaib Kaim, has praised the project, saying that it has been built to standards, and will benefit many citizens.
