Chairperson of the Board of RUWASA Eng. Ruth Koya makes a visit and inspects the water project in the Nkome and Katoma ward of Geita District in Geita Region which is implemented by the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASA). Giving information on the implementation of the project, the Manager of RUWASA, Geita District, Engineer Sande Batakanwa said that the project is being implemented in 5 wards, Nkome, Katoma, Nyamboge, Nzera and Lwezera and when it is completed it will serve more than one hundred thousand (100,000) citizens and the first phase is being implemented in Nkome and Katoma county with more than 55,000 inhabitants.
The project is being implemented by force account and to completion will cost more than 4.6 billion to complete, involving the construction of a pump building, the project operator's house, a water boiler, the construction of 4 tanks with a capacity of 225,000 liters on a 6 meter raiser, electrical installation, construction water purification plant, purchase of 2 Pumps, construction of 35 water extraction stations, 3 viosiki, pipe laying 49 km. as well as construction of CBWSO House.Chairperson of the Board of RUWASA Eng.
